Uh, this is kinda off topic, but given the number of GSA bans that have been dished out lately as a result of this...
Unauthorized use of the reserved Gamespy tags (HELP, WIZ, ADMIN, GSI, MON, so on) will result in a ban from GSA. It doesn't matter if you added them in jest or not.

It's true, I'm back. I have come to play giants once again, help out the community, promote giants as much as possible. Soon I will promote giants to people around my town here, and on websites. Some of you already know, I own the Official Giants: Citizen Kabuto Soundtrack. I will soon be uploading the soundtrack to my server, and will be available for download to whoever would like to have giants music. I will soon be making a thread about the soundtrack in the forums for further information. I have a thread already in the forums about how I am back, and I have a small history for people to read if they wish.
Old news posts have been sitting in the database without much exposure, until now. At the bottom of the index page you will now be able to scan across all news posts entered in the database.
Because of the nature of dynamic ips, it will be necessary to block ip ranges to enforce the blacklist. I apologize to those that have their IP accidentally blocked. If you are aware of those that are in this situation, please notify me and I will tighten the ban to restrict fewer ips.
Due to recent events, it would seem that there are some in the community that do not consider the exploitation of bugs to be cheating. I am posting this to clear up any confusion whatsoever on the topic.
In the eyes of both the GiantsWD blacklist, and Tam's banlist, making use of bugs such as 'invisibility', 'inf popups', or anything else of the sort is the equivilant to using a trainer.
I've been asked by King to post up a little article outlining the stance of GiantsWD on trainers.
Trainers are evil, vile things that should be wiped off the planet, preferably with fire.
Use of these evil creations in games that are open to the public, or games that otherwise frown on cheating (re: every server, just about) will result in three things:
• Being banned from GiantsWD.com
• Being labled as a known cheater, and thus being kicked from a great deal of servers.
• Being labled as a known cheater, and thus being flamed a lot by those who are against cheating (re: 99.9~% of all players).
In addition to using trainers, their distribution is similarly frowned upon. While it is probably impossible to find everyone who distributes a trainer to someone else, giving out download links in public, or offering to send people trainers is VERY highly frowned upon, more than actually using one, if I had to say.
And on a personal level, asking me for trainers, or for help with trainers will get you very little, other than a good flaming.

I agree with Z0P's stance, but would like to specify what he does not cover. Friends will be friends and sometimes they just like to screw around. Being as such, I have no problems with people using trainers on their own servers that ARE NOT PUBLIC. By being not public, I mean that the game is not visible in any lobby. You can achieve 1337 ninjitsu invisibility with your server by using the -nogamespy command line in either your Giants shortcut or GMM. While we like to be friendly to everyone, passing out trainers to the public ruins the game. I do not ban out of spite nor out of punishment. GiantsWD is a privilege and those that choose to spoil others' game will have that privilege removed. Be happy, be healthy. Cheerios.
