Welcome to Giants World Domination, the most dedicated Giants
Citizen Kabuto source on the Internet! Browse through the latest news below to
see what's new in the Giants community. If you're new to Giants and looking
for some multiplayer action, you'll need to download the 1.5
Patch.
The newest ATI drivers have been released. I would not normally mention driver releases, except for the fact that ATI made a specific enhancement for Giants: "Anti-Aliasing support is now available for the game Giants Citizen Kabuto." You can read more about it here: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/Catalyst_37_Release_Notes.html.
I updated the title to include "Giants Citizen Kabuto." This should help the GiantsWD listing on a lot of the major search engines, instead of being ranked somewhere on the eighth page. Also, I have a lot of screenshots and files to upload. I will have those up either by the end of today or tomorrow. Game on!
I've made a new map for MvM called Meccarena Lake. It has been uploaded to this site. It features a big lake in the middle and is surrounded by mountains and beaches. Most of the map is made from portions of Mecc Story 2 with some color enhancing done. - Infinity7
The index page has been recoded a bit.. with a lot of the excessive loops trimmed down. The javascript has been removed as well, which should work better for some of the older browsers. The header images have been moved a bit so you can get a better view, and have also been trimmed down. What's the result?
66 kb average load -> 47 kb average load - 2 seconds loading time.
Take that you bulky loop functions.
The tournament will be rescheduled until another time. With VimpMeat being moved, we lack a steady server to host the games. Also, I would like to implement a point system before the tournament starts so that the winner may obtain more benefits than simply name recognition. However, I am not sure how these points should be spent (added privileges, forum mod, etc). Feel free to post your suggestions in the forum.
As some of you may be aware, I will be moving to a new apartment this Friday. This means VimpMeat will be moving as well. However, because this is the busiest time of year for moving (all the students coming back to school) the ISP was unable to schedule a reconnection until Sept 5th. This means VimpMeat will be down from Friday Aug 19th to at least Friday Sept 5th. I wish there was something more to be done but my ISP is booked solid.
