As you might already know a new map pack is on the way. It will be released in about 2 weeks for both Win32 and Mac Giants.
We (the GWD staff) are doing quality preselection. Currently there are about 70 maps we're going to include, all maps that were posted on GWD before 2003/08/18 have been taken into account.
I am compiling the map pack and working on compression, the map pack will have 1 to 2 MB final size.
Maps are still welcome. If you want the map to be posted on GWD as a GMM version as well send it to King, otherwise send it to me. And please include a senseful comment with your map if possible.
Don't hesitate to add custom stuff to your map, we support custom textures (provided they make sense, just painting your name onto the ground texture is not okay), modified objects (feel free to ask in the forums if you have a need) and both ambient (global and local w/ variable range) and object sounds.
Added two new maps, VillageMeltdown and Antalus, which are both by Pinchy, to the map database. Also added one screenshot, baby kab, to the screenshot database.
I plan to write up a few guides today for some of the newer players and also work on the Interplay petition.
I have left this new for a long time but... everyone seems to be returning to giants.
Also... soon I'm going to finish learning java.. if anyone wants any free sigs or flash intros just pm me.
